  • Team Louisiana represented the community around the country, traveling as far as Virginia and Nevada for national tournaments.

  • Claiborne Sparks is a select girls basketball team for local youth. Team age divisions have ranged from 11 years old and under to 16 years old and under.

  • Coach Claiborne sponsored this team for 12 years, and he personally coached the team for 6 of those years.

  • Claiborne Sparks hosted the Governor’s Games, a tournament sponsored by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

  • The Governor’s Games brought families from around Louisiana and the Gulf Coast Region to St. Landry Parish for a great experience for over 10 years.
